A local mainstream primary school are currently seeking a full-time, long-term SEND teaching assistant in Smethwick. This role will be supporting a year 3 boy who is autistic, ADHD and is very defiant from directed, therefore previous experience of 1-to-1 work is compulsory for this position. The role will be Monday to Friday for the remainder of the academic year and likely into academic year 2025/26. - The child is very self-directed and will be defiant when pushed into doing suggested activities. He is very caring and happy in himself and requires a consistent & resilient 1-to-1 TA.
