Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (SEND)
A junior school in Slough is looking for a committed and adaptable SEND teaching assistant to join their specialist provision. This role involves working closely with children who have complex needs, providing both educational and personal care support. The Role: • Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM • Support children with SEND in the classroom, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs • Assist with personal care tasks and help maintain daily routines • Work alongside teachers to implement tailored education plans • Use a range of communication strategies to engage children effectively • Encourage independence and build confidence in students with additional needs What You Need: • At least 3 months of experience supporting SEND children in a school setting • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different needs • A proactive and patient approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure • Willingness to be on your feet and actively involved throughout the school day • Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential This is a hands-on role that requires resilience, dedication and a genuine commitment to supporting children with SEND.
