Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is delighted to be recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a growing and vibrant primary school in Bristol. This role involves supporting children in Year 3/4 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to engage in their learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs, enabling them to access the curriculum effectively.
• Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with class teachers and the wider pastoral team to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, fostering confidence and resilience.
• Support the delivery of the school’s rich and exciting curriculum, encouraging pupils to develop into ambitious, lifelong learners.

We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children with SEMH needs or a strong passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Can adapt to the needs of individual children, providing both emotional and academic support.
• Is proactive and enthusiastic, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Holds relevant qualifications or experience in SEMH support or education (preferred but not essential).
