Job Title: QUALIFIED SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT, WR11
A well-established and welcoming SEND school in Evesham is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to make a positive impact on students with severe special needs, starting as soon as possible.
Location: Evesham, Worcestershire
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay Rate: £89 per day, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with severe special needs, including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), and SLD (Severe Learning Disabilities).
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons, working closely with class teachers to ensure the needs of each student are met.
- Offer both academic and personal care support, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with communication challenges, helping them to engage in classroom activities and develop life skills.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a classroom setting, particularly with pupils with severe special needs such as PMLD, ASD, and SLD.
- Ability to provide 1:1 and group support to students with complex needs, both in academic and personal care contexts.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' learning and development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
