The Role We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide 1:1 support to a KS3 boy with challenging behaviour. This is a demanding but rewarding role, and the successful candidate will play a vital part in helping this student achieve their full potential. You will: Work closely with the student to develop positive learning behaviours and strategies for managing their emotions. Implement personalised learning plans to support the student's academic progress. Build a strong rapport with the student, fostering trust and understanding. Liaise effectively with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to the student's support. Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports. You will be: A highly motivated and experienced TA with a proven track record of success in supporting students with SEMH needs. Qualified or working towards a relevant qualification in SEN or a related field (desirable). Skilled in de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies. Patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with young people. A clear and effective communicator, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Passionate about inclusive education and committed to safeguarding the welfare of children.
