Job Title: SEMH Teaching assistant
SEMH Teaching Assistant – Sutton, Greater London Location: Sutton, Greater London Age Group: 5-13 (Experience with KS3 preferred) Setting: Small, supportive school for children needing SEMH provision About Us: We are a caring, small school in Sutton dedicated to helping children who have experienced trauma. We provide a safe, nurturing environment that focuses on individual needs to promote growth and confidence. Role: Support: Work with teachers and therapists to implement IEPs and manage behavior. Assist: Provide one-on-one and small group support in class. Foster Well-being: Create a positive atmosphere that builds emotional resilience. Adapt: Modify learning materials to suit diverse needs. Develop Skills: Help students build life skills and coping mechanisms. Track Progress: Maintain records of student progress and behavior. Requirements: Experience: Work with children facing trauma and SEMH needs preferred. Qualifications: Training in special education, child development, or related fields desirable.
