The school are looking to recruit 2 Behaviour Support Workers to assist and help their young learners to access their tailored curricula, whilst ensuring their needs are met in a nurturing and creative environment.
The school is a specialist setting for more than 100 pupils aged between 9-16 years with an Education, Health and Care Plan for Profound/Severe Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) with a core purpose of developing pupils’ academic, social and emotional skills so that each pupil leaves ready and equipped for further education, employment or training and knows how to keep themselves safe and is able to contribute to society.
Support staff at the school are a critical part to the development and success of the pupils and all receive heavy investment of time, tailored CPD, HR and SLT support whilst working at the school. The roles are all full-time and although initially on supply, the school will be looking to take staff on a permanent basis after 1 term, so in time for the new Academic Year, September ’25.
Ideally, applicants will have SEMH, YOI Experience, Youth Work or or Secure Children's Home experience in a School or learning setting and be familiar with Challenging Behaviours and supporting the curriculum development of 9-16 year olds, however we can offer trials and supported opportunities for those with a demonstrable exposure or experience of SEMH and Challenging Behaviours outside of the classroom.
