Axcis Education are working with a special school situated in the city of Plymouth who are seeking behaviour support assistants to work with pupils on a 1-1 basis. All positions are full time and working hours will be Monday - Friday, 8.30 - 3.30, term time only. This school provides education for pupils aged 5 - 16 who have been excluded from mainstream school, or are at risk of exclusion. Pupils follow a curriculum of separate lessons, with a strong emphasis on English and Maths. All pupils have opportunities to be involved in alternative curriculum activities, ranging from Learning Outside the Classroom to vocational courses. To apply for these full time behaviour support roles, you should have had experience working closely with challenging individuals - this does not necessarily needed to have been within education, although that would be beneficial. You should be resilient, adaptable and have a good sense of humour.
