Axcis Education are working with a large primary school in Northfield who require a SEND teaching assistant to support in a Year 1 class. Working hours for this role are 8.30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, term time only. In this Key Stage One teaching assistant role the successful applicant will be supporting in a general capacity - you will be supporting the children's learning and the class teacher. Duties will include but are not limited to - preparing the classroom for lessons, listening to pupils read, helping children who require extra support, assisting the teacher with learning activities and completing records, supporting with managing class behaviour, keeping the classroom tidy and safe and safeguarding pupils. It would be beneficial if you had experience of SEND, as some of the children you will support will have SEND.
