We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our dedicated team. Role Overview: As our SENCO, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure that all pupils with SEND receive the support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities: -Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school. -Develop and implement the school's SEND policy. -Identify pupils with SEND and ensure they receive appropriate support. -Liaise with teachers to provide guidance on effective strategies for teaching pupils with SEND. -Oversee and contribute to the creation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils. -Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies to coordinate support. -Provide training and support for staff to enhance their understanding of SEND. -Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. -Keep up to date with local and national developments in SEND education. Previous Experience: -Proven experience in a SENCO role or substantial experience working with children with SEND. -In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice. -Excellent organisational and communication skills. -Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead initiatives. -A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to ensuring all pupils achieve their best.
