Job Title: SEND Experienced Teaching Assistant (B60)
A well-established and welcoming SEND school in Bromsgrove is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to make a positive impact on students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), starting as soon as possible.
Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay: £89 Per Day (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with a diverse range of SEND, including but not limited to ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD, physical disabilities, and speech and language difficulties.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons, working closely with class teachers to ensure that the needs of each student are met.
• Offer both academic and personal care support, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Support students with communication challenges, helping them to engage in classroom activities and develop life skills.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their participation in school life.
Requirements:
• Classroom experience is highly desired, particularly with SEND students.
• Ability to provide 1:1 and group support to students with varying needs, both in academic and personal care contexts.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' learning and development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this process if necessary).
