About the Role:
As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for students with a range of special educational needs. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored learning plans that help each student reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all students.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and staff.
Work closely with support staff and external professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Attend meetings with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to discuss student progress and intervention strategies.
Stay up to date with best practices and developments in SEND education.
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.).
Has experience working with students with a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEND students.
Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Is committed to ongoing professional development.
Holds an enhanced child and adult DBS or is willing to obtain one.
