Location: N17 Area Position: Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) Salary: £95 per day About Us: We are a dedicated SEND school located in the N17 area, committed to providing a nurturing and supportive educational environment for students with various needs. Our team works tirelessly to ensure each student receives the personalized attention and care they need to thrive. Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, and challenging behaviour. Personal care will also be a required aspect of this role. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of tailored educational programs for students with SEND. Provide support to students with ASD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour, ensuring their individual needs are met. Assist with personal care tasks as required, maintaining the dignity and comfort of students. Implement and manage behaviour strategies to create a positive and supportive learning environment. Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, fostering their academic and social development. Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents. Collaborate with other staff members and professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Requirements: Previous experience working with SEND children or vulnerable adults, particularly those with ASD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour. Ability to assist with personal care tasks. Strong behaviour management skills. Compassionate, patient, and calm demeanour. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive and flexible approach to supporting students' individual needs. Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEND support are desirable but not essential.
