Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support students with various needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, complex needs, and physical needs. This role will require assisting with personal care. Key Responsibilities: Support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored educational programs for students with SEND. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with ASD, Down Syndrome, complex needs, and physical needs. Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring the dignity and comfort of students. Implement and manage behaviour strategies to create a positive learning environment. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere. Collaborate with other staff members and professionals to support students' educational and social development. Requirements: Previous experience working with SEND children or vulnerable adults, particularly those with ASD, Down Syndrome, complex needs, and physical needs. Ability to assist with personal care tasks. Strong behaviour management skills. Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students' individual needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive and flexible approach to supporting students' diverse needs.
