Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant, full-time, Smethwick
A lovely mainstream primary setting in Smethwick are seeking a 1-to-1 SEND teaching assistant to work in their resource hub. Whilst in role, you will be working 1-to-1 with a child who is autistic and has global delay and is working behind milestones. Therefore, we are seeking a patient, passionate & dedicated long-term teaching assistant to enable the student, who is friendly and attentive to grow & thrive in their learning & development. For this role you will need to have experience supporting young people with SEND needs, ideally in a primary setting, however they are happy to accept secondary, SEND school setting or transferrable experience from residential or care background for the right individual who could build a rapport. Whilst qualifications would be an additional bonus in the role, the school wants to invest in training the right individual and the SENCo will be spending time working on strategies for this child with you. They deem the experience to be the most important element of this role. You will be paid on a weekly basis during term-time only. This will be paid on a daily rate starting from £95.29, which will be set based on experience & qualifications. Ideally, we are looking at an immediate start. However, the school is willing to wait a short period if necessary for the right candidate.
