Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Slough
Location: Slough Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM Salary: Competitive Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEND teaching assistant to join this inclusive junior school, within its specialist SEND provision catering to ten children with complex needs, autism, speech and language needs and challenging behaviour. These children spend part of their day in mainstream classrooms and the rest in the resource provision. Key Responsibilities: • Supporting children with a range of needs, including those who are pre-verbal or non-verbal • Adapting communication methods to suit individual students • Providing personal care where required • Working proactively to engage children and support their learning What We Are Looking For: • Essential: Previous experience working with SEND in an educational setting • Confidence in adapting communication methods to meet students' needs • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently from day one • Comfort in assisting children with complex needs, including personal care • Enthusiasm and a genuine passion for making a positive impact No formal qualifications are required—experience is what matters most.
