The Role: Working in an OFSTED "Outstanding" SEND school in Bolton, you will be working as SEND Teaching Assistant working 1:2:1. You will play a crucial role in supporting a KS4 student with SEMH needs, helping them navigate their academic and personal development challenges. Your support will be instrumental in creating a stable and encouraging learning environment tailored to the student's unique requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a KS4 student with SEMH needs, focusing on both academic and emotional development. • Implement and adapt individualised learning plans in collaboration with the classroom teacher and SENDCo. • Foster a trusting and supportive relationship with the student, encouraging positive social interactions and emotional resilience. • Monitor and record the student's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers, parents, and relevant professionals. • Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. • Promote the student's independence and self-esteem through consistent and empathetic support. Requirements: • Experience working with children with SEMH needs in an educational setting. • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and effective strategies to support them. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND or SEMH support (desirable but not essential).
