Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Employment Type: Full-time We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students with SEND, ensuring they have access to a tailored and inclusive education. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND, assisting them with their learning and personal development. • Implement and adapt educational resources to meet the individual needs of students. • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities. • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to promote the welfare and progress of students. • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders. Requirements: • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable but not essential. • A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues. • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work as part of a team. • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Team Teach, Makaton, etc.) would be advantageous.
