About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join our network of primary and secondary schools in Barnet. There are currently a number of roles available supporting SEND students in both primary and secondary settings.
As an SEND TA, you will play a crucial role in helping students with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities. Your support will help students be supported as best as possible throughout their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
? Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEND
? Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
? Supporting students' social and emotional development
? Helping with behaviour management and engagement in lessons
? Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure individual learning plans are followed
Requirements:
? Experience working with children with SEND (school-based experience desirable)
? A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
? Strong communication and teamwork skills
? A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma) is beneficial but not essential
? An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
