Job Title: Special Needs Support
Axcis Education is recruiting a passionate Special Needs Support Assistant for a well-established secondary special needs school in Trafford. This full-time position is available on a temp-to-perm basis, offering an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4pm. Starting ASAP. This friendly, welcoming, and caring school caters for students aged 11-19 years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) including SLD, PMLD, autism, and complex needs. All students have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). The school provides a happy, safe, and inclusive environment where students and staff feel valued and a sense of belonging. Requirements: - Previous experience working with children and young people with SEND is essential. - A caring, patient, and positive attitude with a passion for supporting students with additional needs. - Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with teachers and other professionals. - Experience with manual handling, administering medication, PEG feeding, sensory needs, and other relevant aspects of SEND care is highly desirable. - Enhanced DBS on the update service. This role involves supporting students with a range of SEND in their learning and development, helping them to achieve their full potential within an inclusive environment.
