Job Title: Teacher SEND
We are looking for a dedicated PMLD Teacher to join our fantastic team at a special needs college in Haringey (N22). In this rewarding and dynamic role, you'll work alongside a team of Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Care Workers to develop and deliver tailored educational programmes for students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
Position Details:
Job Title: PMLD Teacher
Location: Special Needs College, Haringey (N22)
Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:15 PM, Full-time (or at least every Monday and Wednesday)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
-Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students with PMLD.
-Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student independence and self-esteem.
-Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to learning plans to ensure each student achieves their full potential.
-Collaborate with colleagues, including TAs and Care Workers, to implement educational strategies and provide holistic support for students.
Ideal Candidate:
-Proven experience as a PMLD Teacher, ideally with college-aged students.
-A relevant teaching qualification and an understanding of current safeguarding practices.
-A warm, caring personality with the ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships with students and their families.
-Creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching and making a positive impact on the lives of students with complex needs.
