About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with complex needs, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver tailored support.
Encourage independence and build confidence in students.
Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
Support students in developing essential life skills and building positive relationships.
Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will have:
A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEN.
Experience supporting students with complex needs, ideally within an educational setting.
Patience, empathy, and resilience.
The ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or experience in care work are highly desirable.
