Job Title: Teaching Assistant for Challenging Behaviour Students
Position: Teaching Assistant (Supporting Challenging Behaviour Students) Location: Stockport Hours: Full Time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Term time only Contract: Temporary, Long Term We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a team in Stockport. This full-time, long-term position involves working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours, supporting their educational and personal development within a nurturing and structured environment. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people and have the patience, resilience, and commitment to support students facing behavioural challenges, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with challenging behaviours. • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and learning. • Support teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students. • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians. • Collaborate with educational psychologists, counsellors, and other specialists to develop and implement effective support strategies. • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
