Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have complex needs, providing both academic support and personal care. This is a part-time role, ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the classroom, supporting students with complex needs in their learning and development. Provide personal care to students, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene needs, ensuring their dignity and comfort. Work one-on-one or in small groups to help students achieve their individual learning goals. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Follow and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs. Monitor and record student progress, communicating effectively with parents and carers about their child’s development. Support students’ social and emotional well-being, helping them develop essential life skills. Requirements: Previous experience working with children with complex needs is essential. A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special educational needs is highly desirable. Patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with complex needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a collaborative team. Experience in providing personal care to children with additional needs. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
