Job Title: Teaching Assistant SEND
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with experience supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Learning Support Assistant to join our Secondary SEN School in Enfield (EN3). This is an exciting opportunity to support students with SEMH and behavioural challenges, helping them reach their full potential.
Position Details:
Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: SEN Secondary School, Enfield (EN3)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 5 days per week (Long-term, full-time role)
Contract Type: Long-term
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs, helping them manage their emotions and engage in learning.
-Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create tailored learning plans and interventions that meet the individual needs of students.
-Assist in the delivery of lessons and ensure students are fully included in all activities, both academic and social.
-Support students in developing their independence and confidence, both inside and outside the classroom.
Ideal Candidate:
-Previous experience working with SEMH, behavioural issues, or in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) is essential.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and manage challenging situations with patience and empathy.
-Passionate about helping students with SEMH needs and committed to making a positive impact on their lives.
-Ability to commit to a long-term, full-time role.
