Job Title: Teaching Assistant Special School
Axcis Education are working in partnership with a specialist provision in Bristol to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant. This outstanding provision supports children and young people aged 4-19 with complex learning needs, including severe learning difficulties, autism, and additional physical or sensory impairments. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will: • Work closely with students to support their individual learning and development needs. • Assist teachers in delivering tailored, engaging lessons that accommodate a range of abilities. • Support students with communication, sensory, and physical needs, using specialised tools and techniques as required. • Encourage independence and promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s ethos. • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of staff who are passionate about making a difference. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who: • Has experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly those with severe or complex needs. • Is patient, empathetic, and committed to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment. • Is proactive and able to adapt to the varied needs of the pupils. • Holds relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification), although this is not essential.
