Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Supporting Challenging Behaviour) Location: Wirral, UK Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience Start Date: September 2024 Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to join team on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with challenging behaviour, helping them to achieve their full potential and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviour. • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs). • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to develop effective strategies to manage and improve student behaviour. • Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour. • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment. • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary. • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in behaviour management.
