Job Title: Teaching Assistant
A primary school in the peaceful area of Mitcham, set in a beautiful Victorian-style building, is seeking a resilient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team full-time. This Ofsted-rated Good school, located close to public transport but away from busy main roads, provides a calm and structured environment for learning. The role primarily involves supporting Key Stage 1 and 2 students with ASD, working both 1:1 and in small group settings. The ideal candidate will be confident, adaptable, and skilled in encouraging independence while effectively managing the unique challenges of ASD. Requirements: • Prior experience in an SEN support role, especially with children with ASD. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply. • Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive learning experiences.
