Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire Position: Full-time Hours: 8.30 am - 3.30 pm Salary: £90 per day PAYE We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school located in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with a range of SEND and who can contribute to a positive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: - Work under the guidance of the classroom teacher to support SEND students in achieving their individual educational and developmental goals. - Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and provide tailored support to students with a variety of learning needs, such as ASC, ADHD, dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. - Encourage and assist students during classroom activities, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated. - Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as necessary. - Promote positive behaviour and social skills, implementing strategies to support students in managing their own behaviour. - Prepare and organize resources and materials to assist in delivering effective learning activities. - Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all students. - Participate in relevant meetings/training sessions to further professional development and improve student support. - Act as a liaison between the school, home, and other professionals involved in the students' education, when appropriate.
