Job Title: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant Job Type: Supply Cover, Part-Time Location: Frome, Somerset Salary: £90 per day Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and patient SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team on a flexible, part-time basis. In this role, you will provide support to students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities within a school setting in Frome, Somerset. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about education and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that all students have access to a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to students with SEND, both within the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings. - Collaborate with the classroom teachers to understand the specific needs of students and assist in adapting lessons and resources to cater to these requirements. - Support in implementing individual education plans for students, including monitoring their progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers. - Create an inclusive and encouraging environment where all students can thrive and achieve their full potential. - Assist with the management of student behavior, helping to develop their social skills and promoting positive interactions within the school. - Help with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom organisation. - Be an active participant in school activities, including staff meetings and professional development opportunities. - Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and adhere to school policies and procedures.
