Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire Type: Full-Time Working Hours: 9am - 4pm Pay: £90 per day Driver Status: Desired Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team at a charming rural primary school in Salisbury, Wiltshire. The position offers the opportunity to contribute positively to the development and learning experience of young children within a supportive and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborating with the classroom teacher to develop lesson plans and educational activities that cater to the needs of all students. - Providing one-on-one and small group support to students, reinforcing learning concepts presented by teachers. - Assisting the classroom teacher with creating a vibrant and organised learning environment. - Supervising students during non-classroom times including before and after school and during lunch and breaks. - Helping to maintain student records, track progress, and communicate effectively with parents under the direction of the classroom teacher. - Contributing to the management of classroom resources and materials. - Participating in all relevant staff meetings and professional development workshops. - Adhering to the school’s policies, procedures, and the code of conduct. - Assisting students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal access to education and opportunities to succeed. - Encouraging students’ personal development, helping them develop social skills and positive behavior. Minimum Requirements: - Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferable. - NVQ Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent is desirable. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, parents, and school administrators. - A patient, flexible, and resourceful approach to challenges. - A passion for working with children and contributing to their educational and personal growth. The role is ideal for someone who is a reliable team player with a can-do attitude and a genuine interest in education and childhood development.
