Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 5 student in a mainstream primary school in Manchester (M16).
This is a full-time, long-term position until the end of this academic year, providing support to a boy with ADHD. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the child's learning and development, helping him to achieve his full potential in the classroom.
The student is passionate about sports, and we are looking for a TA with a background or strong interest in sports to help build a positive and supportive relationship. The ability to connect through shared interests will be key in encouraging the student’s engagement in school activities and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with ADHD or additional needs is preferred.
- A background in or a passion for sports, which will be used to build rapport with the student and aid their development.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A commitment to helping the student reach their full potential.
