Job Title: Youth Worker
We are a dedicated organization based in W3, London, focused on supporting young people in secondary schools and college environments. Our mission is to provide guidance, mentorship, and resources that help youth navigate challenges and achieve their full potential. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Youth Worker to join our team, working with students in secondary schools and college settings in the W3 area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a similar role, with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people. You will be crucial in providing support, developing relationships, and delivering programs that promote personal and social development. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students in secondary schools and colleges in W3. Develop and implement programs aimed at enhancing life skills, resilience, and emotional well-being. Act as a mentor and positive role model, establishing trust and rapport with young people. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students. Address issues such as mental health, bullying, peer pressure, and academic challenges. Facilitate workshops and activities that encourage personal growth, self-confidence, and community involvement. Maintain accurate records of interactions and student progress, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to safeguarding policies. Recognize and respond to the individual needs of students, offering guidance and resources to support their development. Requirements: Previous experience in a youth work role, particularly within secondary school or college settings, is essential. Relevant qualifications in youth work, social work, or a related field are highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds. A compassionate and non-judgmental approach, with a genuine passion for supporting youth. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational skills.
