Job Title: 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant
Do you have experience supporting children or young adults with social, emotional & mental health issues (SEMH)?
A mainstream school in the Stockport area is looking for a teaching assistant to join their school on a full time basis, working Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. This role would start in January 2025 and would continue until the end of this academic year.
You would be working with a student in year 2, who struggles with SEMH and behaviour. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life at a time when they need support the most. This school believes in each child’s potential and is willing to support them in every way possible.
No qualifications are required, however, you should:
• Be calm and patient
• Have experience working in a school setting previously, ideally with SEN
• Have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport quickly
