Job Title: Mental Health Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualised support to students with diverse SEND and SEMH needs, adapting your approach to meet their specific learning and emotional requirements.
• Assist with classroom activities to ensure all students are engaged and supported in an inclusive learning environment.
• develop positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and facilitating their social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to develop tailored learning experiences that align with each child's unique strengths and needs.
• Promote independence and life skills, equipping students for adulthood and supporting their educational journeys.

Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or care setting is essential.
• Experience supporting children with SEND (SLD, PMLD, ASD) is highly desirable.
• Compassionate, patient and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to helping vulnerable children succeed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Capacity to support students with challenging behaviours in a calm and constructive manner.
Additional Information:
• Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
• Roles: Full-time
• Pay: £83.40 per day, based on experience and qualifications.
• This role is initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
