Job Title: ADHD Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with ADHD in a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Bristol. This full-time, term-time-only role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will: • Provide one-to-one support to a Year 3 pupil with ADHD, helping them navigate their learning and social environment. • Implement strategies to support focus, behaviour management, and emotional regulation. • Work closely with the class teacher and the school’s pastoral team to create a positive and supportive learning experience. • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where the pupil can thrive both academically and socially. This role is situated in a school that prides itself on its welcoming and inclusive ethos. About You: We are looking for someone who: • Has experience working with children with SEND, particularly ADHD (desirable but not essential). • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience. • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Is proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting the individual needs of pupils. • Is passionate about education and the role it plays in transforming lives. Working Hours: Full-time, term-time only: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
