About Us: We are a supportive educational establishment dedicated to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our mission is to empower every student to reach their full potential, and we are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Romford.
Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with autistic students, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience. You will play a key role in fostering a positive classroom atmosphere and helping students develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of autistic students.
Assist students with their learning activities, providing one-on-one support as needed.
Help create and maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or additional needs, is preferred.
Strong understanding of autism and effective strategies for support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
