A dynamic and diverse secondary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Assistant to join their team. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary based on experience and provides an opportunity to support students in developing positive behaviours and social skills.
Key Responsibilities
-Behaviour Support: Assist students in managing their behaviour and emotions within the school environment.
-Building Relationships: Establish trust and rapport with students to encourage engagement and positive behaviour.
-Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement consistent behaviour management strategies.
-Implementing Strategies: Assist in the application of behaviour management plans to promote social skills and appropriate behaviour.
-Monitoring Progress: Track and report on student behaviour and progress, providing feedback to staff and parents.
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is essential.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Empathy & Patience: A patient, empathetic approach with a focus on student welfare.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a school setting.
