Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is recruiting for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for a special needs primary school in Timperley. The school caters to children aged 2 – 11 with special educational needs arising from a range of conditions. A large number of pupils have an autistic spectrum disorder, which impacts their communication, interaction, play, and imagination. Some students have physical difficulties, language disorders, or general developmental delays. This is a full-time role that would start in September 2024. Hours for this role would be 8:30am - 3:30 pm This special school are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to students with SEN. Working closely with the class teacher, you will assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and fostering an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Qualifications and Experience: - Previous experience working with children with complex needs, ASD, physical disabilities, preferably within an education setting. - A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special needs support is desirable but NOT ESSENTIAL. - Understanding of the challenges faced by children with special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with special needs.
