Job Title: Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Teaching assistant
Axcis Education currently require a SEMH Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in Hornchurch, Havering. Location- Hornchurch, Havering (RM12). Start Date- ASAP (for trial days) Duration- Ongoing for 2024- 25 academic year. Pay Rate- £95+ per day (negotiable) Working Hours- 8: 30 A.M. to 3: 30 P.M., Monday to Friday Your New Company: This role is based in a mainstream secondary school, which is well located close to local transport links, and which has excellent, modern facilities. The successful candidate for this role will work with the entire class at times, but they will work most closely with a small group of students who have SEMH needs. The children may exhibit challenging behaviour, so strong de- escalation skills will be required. You will also be expected to support the children with classwork, socialisation and other activities, such as PE. Candidates with experience of working with secondary school age with SEMH needs will be preferred, however candidates who have worked with SEND children in any school setting will be considered.
