Job Title: English Teacher for September
English Teacher needed in SW15 for the next academic year- starting in September 2024. Our client is an independent, specialist day school for children and young people aged 7-19 years with high functioning autism and associated conditions Interviews/trial days are being held immediately. Please respond if you are interested. • Full time- Monday to Friday- 8am to 4pm • Pay depends on your teacher scale - starting at £185 per day Responsibilities: • To carry professional duties covered by the latest School Teachers Pay and Conditions document. The post holder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional standards for qualified teachers and uphold the professional code of the General Teaching Council for England. • Teach a class of pupils and ensure planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs. • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom • Provide timely and accurate reports to all stakeholders including SLT, Governors (as required) and parent/carers. • Provide accurate assessments of learning and progress and matched against aspirational and appropriate targets. • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom and to promote the schools mission statement, developing potential, touching hearts and engaging minds. Key focus on: • Safety • Providing a quality service to the young people • Ensuring financial sustainability appropriate to the job role Requirements: • An awareness and understanding of the needs of those pupils with specific Special Educational Needs • An excellent understanding of pedagogy within the classroom environment. • Excellent communication skills • Emotional resilience • Ability to effectively use ICT • Ability to work as a member of a team and on their own initiative Experience/Qualifications: • Experience of working with pupils with complex and varied Special Educational Needs • Relevant PCGE or Degree If you are interested, please get in contact!
