Job Title: English Teacher - SEMH school
Position: English Teacher (GCSE) - Maternity Cover Duration: 1 Year Location: Bolton School: SEMH secondary Interview Dates: Next couple of weeks Axcis Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated English teacher to work in a secondary SEMH school. This position is a maternity cover for one year, focusing on delivering GCSE English to pupils with identified needs within an Education Health & Care Plan relating to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues. The school offers a varied curriculum including academic, vocational, and personal one-to-one education, ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEMH pupils. - Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support the academic and personal growth of each student. - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and emotional well-being. - Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their GCSE targets. Qualifications and Experience: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level (experience with SEMH or similar settings would be highly beneficial) - Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues. - Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
