Job Title: Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is looking for an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in N17 that caters to pupils with very high needs. This is a full-time role, supporting children with complex learning difficulties, including autism, communication challenges, and physical disabilities. In this role, you will provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring that pupils receive the individual attention they need to access learning effectively. You will assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities, adapting lessons to meet the specific needs of each child. You will also be responsible for implementing behaviour management strategies and working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide a holistic approach to student development. Some pupils may require personal care and mobility assistance, so candidates must be comfortable supporting children with their daily needs. To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience working as an SEN TA in a high-needs setting. A strong understanding of SEN strategies, particularly in supporting children with autism, communication difficulties, and sensory needs, is essential. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and resilient, with a passion for supporting children with complex needs. A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate is required for this role, or candidates must be willing to obtain one. This is a rewarding opportunity for an SEN TA who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with significant learning needs.
