Job Title: Floating SEND Specialist (Autism)
Position: Floating SEND Specialist (Primary) Location: Autism Resource Provision (ARP) N19 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £93-110 DOE We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Floating SEND Specialist to provide flexible support across our newly opened ARP. This role involves supporting children with autism by preparing resources, assisting with transitions, and stepping in to support students or staff as needed. Key Responsibilities: -Provide general support across the ARP, ensuring smooth transitions between activities for children with autism. -Assist in preparing tailored resources to meet the diverse needs of the children. -Support children who require breaks from structured learning activities, helping them re-engage when ready. -Cover staff absences, providing continuity of support for the children. -Foster a calm, supportive, and autism-friendly environment. Requirements: -Proven experience working with high-needs, pre-verbal children, particularly within an autism-specific setting. -Ability to adapt quickly and provide flexible support as needs arise. -Experience delivering interventions such as Attention Autism is highly desirable. -Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
