Job Title: Hearing Impaired Teacher
On behalf of our client in Tower Hamlets, Axcis Education seek a teacher to work with hearing impaired children in a SEND school. Location- Bow, Tower Hamlets (E3). Start Date- ASAP Duration- Ongoing Your New Role: This position is based in a SEND school for deaf children in Bow, Tower Hamlets. This school is regarded as one of the leading schools for hearing impaired children in London, and it received a ‘Good’ grade in its most recent Ofsted inspection. This role will involve working with a class of 8 children, who are at Key Stage 3. The children all have impaired hearing, and some of them are completely deaf. Therefore, the successful candidate for this role will need to know BSL and will need to have experience using it in a classroom setting. Teachers who have previously worked with hearing- impaired children are preferred. However, teachers who have previously worked with other SEND children, and who have a strong knowledge of BSL, will also be considered.
