Job Title: Learning and Care Support Assistant (LCSA)
Location: Primary Schools in Tameside and Stockport
Day Rate: £95.50 - £120 per day, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time and Part-time roles available
Start Date: Immediate and ongoing positions
About the Role
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities? We are looking for an enthusiastic Learning and Care Support Assistant (LCSA) to join the Axcis team, providing essential support in local primary schools in Tameside and Stockport areas. As an LCSA, you will work closely with students and staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment tailored to meet each student’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with a range of SEND requirements, including Autism, ADHD, complex needs, and communication challenges.
- Support students with personal care and daily routines, ensuring dignity and respect - Essential and comfortable with doing personal care!
- Assist in implementing personalized learning plans in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Promote a positive and nurturing learning environment, supporting students' social, emotional, and academic growth.
Requirements
- Experience working with children and young people in educational or care settings in the UK.
- Knowledge of SEND, particularly Autism, ADHD, and personal care needs.
- Ability to adapt and respond to the needs of students, providing both learning and personal care assistance.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to making a difference in students' lives.
