Job Title: Mental Health Learning Assistant

Axcis Education have a fantastic opportunity to work as a SEMH Teaching Assistant at an Alternative Learning Provision in Swindon. This role will focus on supporting students with challenging behaviour and social emotional mental health who have been or are at risk of exclusion from other SEN settings because of their exceptionally complex behavioural needs. The ideal candidate would be able to stay calm in difficult situations, use their initiative and be patient. The provision offers a unique, highly specialised, and therapeutic level of education. The pupils are supported by highly trained, dedicated staff that support our young people on a 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 basis. Working hours for this role are between 8.30am to 3.30pm and the daily rate of pay is £93.48. Suitable candidates for this role may have a background in: - Care Work - Support Work - Counselling or Psychology - SEND/SEMH TA If you have previous experience of working with individuals with similar kinds of needs and are available on a full-time, long-term basis, then please do apply!
