As a one-to-one Teaching Assistant, you will support a student with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). Your responsibilities in this role will include: -Assisting the student with daily tasks, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. -Aiding communication using specialised techniques such as Makaton or PECS. -Supporting the student during therapy sessions, within and outside the classroom. -Creating a safe and secure learning environment. -Promote the student's independence and social interaction. -Monitor the student's progress and provide feedback. Requirements: -Proven experience working with students with PMLD in an educational setting. -An empathetic, compassionate, and patient approach, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students. -Knowledge of relevant communication aids and techniques. -A commitment to promoting the inclusion and well-being of students with special educational needs.
