Job Title: Outreach Tutor - Torbay
Axcis have a unique and exciting new role in Exeter with a SEND setting, who work with young people aged from 9 – 16 years. They are diagnosed with learning difficulties, complex needs, Autism, as well as Social, Emotional, Mental Health. Alternatively, they may be students who have struggled throughout schooling and are working below age related expectations. What is so unique about this setting is they work remotely in locations within the local community. As a result, you must have a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
Your role will be a 1-1 Education Tutor. You will be matched with one student to work with, delivering Mathematics and English targeted interventions to catch the pupils up closer to their age-related expectations so they can be reintegrated in to mainstream school with their peers.
Safeguarding and risk assessments are an important part of the role, ensuring all pupils are kept safe is a desired skill to have for this role. The ideal candidate must have come from an educator/ support worker or enabler background, understanding the vulnerability of young people/ young adults.
All expenses once at work will be covered by the service. You must be looking for a full-time, permanent work. The daily rate of pay is £90 - £105 per day working 9:00 to 4pm.
