Job Title: PE Leader - Torbay
Axcis Education are working to support an independent special school situate don the outskirts of Torbay, who are looking for a Physical Education (P.E) Leader to start on a full time basis after the Easter break, or as soon as possible if a notice period is to be served. The hours for the position are 8.45-4.45. The rate of pay will be within the unqualified leadership band £25,000-£30,000. This is a full time, permanent position.
The special school has approximately 50 students with complex needs aged 11-20. The students have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). Each student is working towards bespoke targets linked to different areas of their plan. The school has the facilities to deliver a wide ranging curriculum comprising academic and vocational programmes. Facilities include workshop facilities for motor engineering and construction, art and music studios, a food technology kitchen, a range of specialist classrooms, a gym and multi-usegames area.
As P>E lead, you will be expected to plan and implement high quality P.E provision across the school, including in interventions. The successful applicant will be supported by the Head Teacher and Leadership Team and will be required to work across school sites and on an outreach basis. They will join a team of kind and compassionate professionals working within the ethos of putting children at the heart of the school.
